Trello Workflow - OpenDemocracyManitoba/winnipegelection GitHub Wiki
We manage our projects and tasks using Trello. Trello/Kanban allows us to do two things:
- Visualize our work
- Limit our Work-in-Progress
Project Card Workflow
Projects are defined as a single card with an embedded to-do list.
- Start a new project by assigning yourself a card from the Up For Grabs lane.
- When you are working on a project, move it to the Doing lane.
- When you complete a project, move it to the Done lane.
- You should only ever be Doing one thing at a time.
- Reorder project card to-do lists to show priority/plan-of-attack.
Additional Project Tasks
As you work on your projects new sub-tasks will arise.
- For small sub-tasks add a new to-do item to the project card.
- For large sub-tasks create a new card in the "Up For Grabs" lane and assign it to yourself or another team member.
When you add a new sub-task you don't need to work on it immediately.
Card Comments
We each have access to comment on all cards. Clarifications can be added to tasks by commenting on cards.
