DAO Governance solutions are typically built around primitives such as Gnosis safe and a voting mechanism. They are designed to allow for on and sometimes off-chain voting by communities to control their Treasuries and otherwise to make decisions.

In 2022 and late 2021 there was an explosion of DAO tooling start-ups. Rather than attempt to be a comprehensive survey, this research focuses on those that are in accordance with our "Ethereum values", as reflected in our mission. Instead of summarizing information on all DAO Governance Solutions, we focused on those that are decentralized and open source and typically governed by a DAO themselves.
