Founding sponsors

  • baoki created tracking document/CRM - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zjPi_ysnaHMVSr5gp6yOQ9maYyTXUXjS7KqviD9o4Hk/edit#gid=1721480720 How will we continue to document and track details as we communicate to DAO contacts as well as collaborators Founding sponsors would have governance rights as they give the largest amount of funds. At this point nothing has been closed yet
  • Evan had a deep call with Christina from Ocean and he should be getting feedback from this contact in regards to founding status. At this point things are going well.
  • Evan got picked Owocki in terms of interest in ODC and important connection for Gitcoin. He mentioned curating legos for the overall community
  • POKT - conversations ongoing and for Gitcoin following up with 1-2 conversations overall.
  • Founding status will entail a longer commitment considering the amount being requested

Hackathon prep

  • baoki working on Hackathon write up and thinking of having this themed as Analysis Automation
  • How do we include POKT? Or POKT access?
    • We give participants datasets and then offer access from POKT/ODC data stack. Follow up on donors during the hackathon

For the bounties, could we as that they create your own node? Potential bounty?

  • This could be an adventure leading people through the creation of a node. People who complete the adventure in April will win a price but the tutorial will be available for community members forever

Twitter spaces

  • Evan has 30-40 telegram chats with Denver connections. Startwave will possibly be the first twitter space as they seem open. Other options, OpenZeppelin, Ceramic, etc. Open Zeppelin mentioned they were open to sponsoring our Hackathon.
  • Informal vote through Discord to choose who we should invite on. There will be some overlap in terms of who we invite since we will also invite teams and communities that we are already collaborating with. Gitcoin for example
  • Who wants to be on the spaces and who wants to promote them?
  • Promotion and support will require prep work to ensure we contact speakers and give context. Evan to take over the first few runs and then someone else can hop on that. ZER8 mentioned that he would like to volunteer for this work
  • Typically 2-3 hrs of prep for each space.

Regen Rangers

Awesome way to recognise the good work of community members. Evan is currently working on an oath for the Regen Rangers. We will need to use our powers for good!

  • Currently a bounty to design the Regen Rangers artefacts.

Cadence

  • Evan to ping ODC Jedi for details to be included in update tweet. This will likely happen Wednesday from now on.

Additional ideas

@owanikin Can we also extend this "discovery bounty" to other sponsors as well, trueblocks etc.. Perhaps the idea is to help participants engange with the sponsors' tech during the hackathon

@ZER8 Some ideas around founding sponsors:

-gamify the process, maybe a smol bounty to be allocated via QF and shared amongst the people that reach out and start a conversation that leads to smth(just 4 fun) -create outreach pitch for possible sponsors, a step-by-step process would allow more people to get involved -then maybe Shawn and Evan can follow up afterwards (or someone else)
