Understanding Public Access Modes and Membership Rights - OpenConceptLab/ocl_user_wiki GitHub Wiki

Public Access Modes

OCL resources can be accessed and modified by users in the system depending on their Public Access properties. OCL defines 3 Public Access properties for each resource (concept, source, collections) namely:

  • View (default) - Any user may view the resource
  • Edit – Any user may edit the resource
  • None – Only owners may view or edit the resource. Note that this requires a premium account to OCL.

Note that owners can always edit a source.

Membership Rights

In OCL, any member of an organization can edit resources owned by the organization, regardless of who created it. For example, you can create a Source that is owned by an organization you are a member of to allow other members of the organization to edit the source.
