  • Issue #139
  * virtio/remoteproc status for one side to be notified by the other side's status change
  • Big data –
  * Investigating libmetal shared memory APIs, the API is supposed to be available across different OSes. On Linux, it will use DMA buffer, maybe ION.

OpenAMP Proposal

Stefano (Xilinx)

  • Stefano – presented a trivial device tree which described the full system not only Linux.
  • Bill – definitely sees the need for that. Bill would like to see the partitioning overlay or the language. Stefano this is just a prototype and once he would finalize the effort he would share with others.
  • Tomas – see it as tree prune language.
  • Etsam – Device tree partitioning for multicore, multi-OS embedded software designs
  • Loic – in ST they have their own tools to define the system.
  • Loic – what is the goal for full description?
    • Stefano - describe the full system, then convert it into multiple traditional DTs
    • Stefano - don't know how to handle multiple ARM execution mode yet
    • Stefano - encode hardware topology, including access limitations to peripherals
    • Stefano presented access and ranges properties which describe different hw subsystems access capabilities and address mappings
  • Tomas – describing both system tree, FPGA and the board in a standard manner.
