This section will detail the steps I took to setup the Windows 10 workstation VM

Notes

First I checked the "VM Hardware" of the VM to set the Network adapter 1 to LAN, Using the dropdown menu > Browse > select "DNE-255-LAN-oliver.mustoe".

To login I used the default champuser account, find login info here

Then I set the computers name with the following steps (REQUIRES A RESTART):

1. Open file explorer
2. Right click on "This PC" and select properties
3. Click "Advanced system settings"
4. Click "Computer Name" then Change in the lower left
5. then change the name too wks01-firstname, so for me it was wks01-Oliver
6. Apply, Ok, and press restart now

I also setup my own user account, different from champuser, instructions here and REMEBER THE PASSWORD

I then setup the network configuration with the following steps:

1. Enter "Control Panel"
2. Click "Network and internet"
3. Click "Network and Sharing center"
4. Click on the internet adapter, located usually near the mid left and will be called something like "Ethernet01" or "Wi-Fi(Wi-Fi name)"
5. Click "Properties"
6. Configure according to the picture below

With this setup done I continued with the Fire Wall setup
