Sensor Assembly - Offset-official/Nautilus-One GitHub Wiki

This page contains instructions for the assembly of various sensor subsystems. Sensors may be added or deprecated at any time, but no documentation on old sensors will be removed. Currently, this page has only a few sensors, but we hope to have a variety of options documented here in the future. If you are interested in using a different sensor with Nautilus One, please let us know if you get it working, and we can consider adding documentation for it here!

In-Use Sensors (Required)

  • Blue Robotics Low-Light USB Cameras - We use three of these cameras. In the RPi4 Hull, one camera is placed at the front (at the transparent acrylic sheet) and is connected to the RPi4 using a USB extender. In the Nano Hull, one camera is at the front (connected using USB extender), and another is at the bottom (no extender needed).

  • Bar30 Depth Sensor - This sensor is connected directly to the Navigator Controller at the appropriate pins.

In-Use Sensors (Optional)

  • SOS Probes - Connected directly to the Leak Sensor connections of the Navigator Controller.
  • Voltmeter - These are connected in parallel to the batteries (more information in Power Assembly).
