Conversion functions dpolygon
- dpolygon(a)
dpolygon(a) converts the coordinates of a point item a with a sequence of points (arc or polygon) to the dpoint (float64 coordinates) value type.
Since GeoDms 20.15.1 the result keeps the composition type of its argument: polygon stays polygon, arc stays arc, multipoint stays multipoint (as convert does since 20.3.0, issue 1038). In earlier versions the result was always treated as arc, so casting a polygon data item made polygon-consuming operators such as bp_union_polygon warn about arc geometry.
- data item with Point value type and composition type arc or polygon
