Jetpack 7.2

• Went into master, backported to wrynose
• One outstanding bug regarding weston and sinteltest, gstreamer plugins under weston not working, still needs to be investigated.
  • Ilies will look into this.
• Don’t have linux-yocto support yet due to upstream support for thor.
• linux-yocto is a work in progress, internal NVIDIA alignment in process. Changes for Thor which aren’t upstreamed yet, significant patch effort.
• Core set of patches may go into yoctoproject linux-yocto.
• Working on patches for fTPM on Thor

General Roadmap Update

• R35 branch should land on scarthgap, won’t be anywhere else
• R36 will be on scarthgap - new release coming 2H2026.
• JP3 scheduled sometime after 2H202, will go to wrynose and master.

Branching plan

• Have deprecated scarthgap R35 branch to set expectations regarding support going forward. Minimal best effort.

Testing PR on tegra-demo-distro

• Less concerned about whether NVIDIA runs it as-is.
• Keep the test focused on “did we get the integration right”

What else we want in tegra-demo-distro, how to manage going forward

• QA at NVIDIA has different needs than demo images
• Wanting to use coreutils instead of busybox
• Wanting additional content in the demo image full.
• Do we want a “demo-image-fuller” that we are doing tests against.
• Want to avoid attempting to make demo-image-full look like Ubuntu.
• Would like to see a list of what currently needs to change, whittle list down to what we can do in demo-image-full and what needs to be a separate image. For each of the ones which need a dedicated image ask the QA team to remove dependencies.

  • mgbe is used for cameras. Configuration needs to setup static IP for interface.
  • Specific need to set static IP to run testing.
