Notes

  2. Community updates (introductions, updates, implementations, plans, etc)
    • the zoom link for this meeting will be changing
    • introductions
    • editors meeting
      • version 1 of extensions is released.
      • extensions that may have an impact on preservation should have more information included in them; editors will discuss more fully
  3. Review of action items
    • Rosalyn has not done her action item
  4. Demo of http on top of OCFL-java (by @bcail)
    • OCFL-JAVA-HTTP on GitHub; provides general access via http to any OCFL library; not in production yet but they are working on it
    • repo includes documentation around the API
    • customized for Brown's storage layout but can view other storage layouts if you put it on top. there are additional configs that should be added to make this available for other orgs to use
    • Questions: What kind of clients do you see using this? this would be used by Brown's applications as an intermediary tool, no authentication or authorization built in.
    • Questions: Potential performance or scale limitations? Still working on testing these.
    • Request: please keep the community comprised of updates!
  5. 1.0 extension release
    • includes the process for how to add new extensions and the format of new extensions.
    • extensions don't require editors to approve. two editors plus a community member. editors then merge.
    • discussion about mutable head extension and releasing that
