- Next meeting: Wednesday, Feb 13th @11am ET
Notes
- Are there any validation tools for OCFL?
- Simeon has started one in Python
- Andrew H has started one in Go
- Both will continue developing since each might have different uses, and it is good to have more than one implementation
- Institutional Collaborations
- Discussion on Institutions that might implement OCFL.
- Neil to contact Data-Futures regarding engagement
- Consortium of institutions
- Interested in rescuing legacy sources
- Issues for Beta Release
- PR#296 - State the hash to be used, and not include reasoning behind it. Reasoning could be given in the implementation notes, instead.
- #292 - Only include hashes with "community support" in the table. Updates to the table will result in version bumps for the spec.
- #270 - Consensus was for "the OCFL"
- NDSA Levels of Preservation
- Does not mention openness or interoperability of preservation storage
- A revision effort for the Levels of Preservation started last year.
- Raise openness of preservation storage with current committee.
