NEED STATEMENT

Automatic playing card dealing machine Description :save time and hassle of dealing and get straight to playing your hand by using automatic card dealing machine . With using this machine you can completely deal one or more decks of playing cards in just few seconds . Spend more time playing and less time dealing.

INTRODUCTION

The card dealer machine is designed to replace the dealer role in the card games .The dealer is either a person hired only to deal the cards ,usually found in casinos, or it may also be a player. The card dealer machine will allow the players to play the game with full concentration instead of having to deal the cards .In this project we will be building a card dealing machine which can distribute a correct amount of cards to a correct amount of players.

The robot described in this paper includes everyone in each game so that no one has to be the dealer. We believe there is a market for this novelty product since this is a reoccurring problem. The robot sits in the middle of a table, senses all players and deals cards. The target customers are Millennials and card-playing enthusiasts. However, the robot can also function as an educational tool and for the physically challenged. Card games have been a part of human history since 800 AD[1]. We want to bring card playing into the 21st century with new technology.

GOAL

  • TO BUILD A MACHINE WHICH COULD DISTRIBUTE THE CARDS.

  • IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO DISTRIBUTE CARDS UNIFORMLY ONE CARD FOR EACH PERSON AT A TIME.

  • IT SHOULD BE A USER FRIENDLY MACHINE.

PROPOSED SYSTEM

  • In most card games, including most poker games, one card at a time is dealt to every player. This order is being implemented with The Card Dealer.

  • If three players are playing a game of five card stud The Card Dealer will first deal one card, then rotate 120 degrees before dealing another one and then rotate another 120 degrees and deal another one. Thereafter the robot will rotate back to its starting position. This will be repeated four more times since the number of cards each player is supposed to have is five. If there instead were four players participating, the robot would rotate 90 degrees at a time.

  • The rotation is done by a servo motor which has a high precision. Every time it stops at a specific position to deal a card, a servo motor will work for a short moment turn. The BO motor is connected to a rod which will shoot a card out of the shuffled deck.

MAJOR ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

1 . Arduino Uno The Arduino Uno is programmed with a modified version of the C programming language. The Arduino software is used to write the code for the board [11]. The Arduino Uno is used in this project because it is capable of handling the load put on it and has a sufficient number of I/O pins. The Arduino’s analog pins have been used as digital pins in this project. Screenshot 2022-05-23 200557

2 . DC MOTOR The Card Dealer is using a DC motor to power the card shuffling mechanism, and the speed of it will be controlled using PWM in order to get the desired output from it.One large gear is connected to two smaller ones, one on each side, which in turn drives a wheel which pulls one card at a time down into a pocket in the machine. Because it needs to pull down one card from each half at a time (or else it wouldn’t be that good of a shuffle), it can’t go too fast either, or else the cards will get stuck in each other. This allows for a much lower rpm than the motor controlling the dealing.

  1. SERVO MOTOR A servo motor is a type of motor that can rotate with great precision. Normally this type of motor consists of a control circuit that provides feedback on the current position of the motor shaft, this feedback allows the servo motors to rotate with great precision. If you want to rotate an object at some specific angles or distance, then you use a servo motor. It is just made up of a simple motor which runs through a servo mechanism.   2. IR SENSOR An infrared (IR) sensor is an electronic device that measures and detects infrared radiation in its surrounding environment. Active IR sensors have two parts: a light emitting diode (LED) and a receiver. When an object comes close to the sensor, the infrared light from the LED reflects off of the object and is detected by the receiver.
