After APPLYING FACTOR OF SAFETY (FOS) :- FOS = 1.2 Total ratings:-

MOTOR SIZING
We will use 2 stepper motors (NEMA 17)
- Rated Voltage:12 V DC
- Current:1.2A at 4V
- No. of phases:4
- 200 steps per revolution,1.8 degrees
Mass= Mass of roller + Mass of papers
Mass of papers = 0.14Kg
Mass of Roller = Density of rod (1.14) x Volume of Roller (21.991)
Mass of Roller = 0.025Kg
Total mass=0.165Kg
F = µmg [coefficient of friction = 0.6]
F = 0.6x1.65=0.99N
Torque = F x D/2
Diameter/2 = 1 cm
Torque = 0.99x 1= 0.9 Kg-cm
Safety factor (FOS) = 1.5
Final Torque = 1.5 x 0.99 = 1.485 Kg-cm
We will use a 100 RPM and 12 V Centre Shaft DC Geared Motor.
