Useful OpenSource Website publishing platforms
- Create a repository for each ongoing research topic in the lab
- Setup organization teams and roles via github access priveleges
- Finish writing lab website (content - writing, images, citations, buttons, etc.)
- Structure the onboarding repository in github and outline lessons
- Configure a lab github organization account where all project repos are hosted and maintained by lab members
- Develop a comprehensive onboarding program with walkthroughs/demos that teach new members how to properly maintain their code and work
- Identified a lab template offered on github. Has auto-citation functionality which is very convenient.
- Explored MkDocs for setting up a lab onboarding site (I may simply make an onboarding repository a page on the lab website though)
- Downloaded greenelab web template for setting up lab page
- Set up an I2SL github organization account (Some cool features: Managing team roles and repository access priveleges)
- Started developing I2S Llab webpage
- Made our lab's Slack
