RIP

1. n. (R)emote (I)maging (P)rotocol aka RIPscrip. A vector-based graphics format designed for display across a remote terminal via a dial-up modem connection to a BBS.

2. adj. A ripped off, stolen, or otherwise plagiarised piece of artwork made by another artist. "This ANSI art is a rip." v. To rip off another artist without crediting the original author. Also see: comic-rip
