Videon - NicheInterests/mistfunk GitHub Wiki
An early shining star of Public Domain ANSI art practice, Videon was the nickname of Drew Markham, who composed elaborate cityscape scenes in 25-line ANSI art screens in the late '80s, making extensive use of the box-drawing characters for fine details. This work was expanded on in his celebrated (though virtually anonymous) ANSI screens and ANSImations in the popular science fiction [Trade Wars 2002] BBS door game circa 1990, depicting interstellar combat, starfaring vessels, space stations and the creation of planets. Into the '90s he was able to continue working in video game development, with highlights including the Redneck Rampage, Kingpin: Life of Crime and Return to Castle Wolfenstein series. He died in 2018.
