In a Mistigris / underground artscene context, the word "Spoon" is typically used in one of two special ways:
-
In reference to Tasmaniac of ACiD's original (but long since deprecated) program, "SPOON", used to inject his [SAUCE] (Standard Architecture for Universal Comment Extensions) metadata into underground artscene computer art files. It really got cooking in its second revision, SPOON ][, but if used in a modern context it can result in files not being displayed the way they are intended to be seen, eg. corrupting the palettes of PCX files and preventing [Legacy mode] from being active in ANSI art files.
-
The name of a '90s [tfile] [ezine] cooked up by 604-based colleagues of [Beatle]. The first issue was released in 1993 and the second (and, to date, final) issue was released in 1998, both included in the doomed M-9808 artpack collection.

Once in a long while you might hear it invoked as the battlecry of '80s comics antihero The Tick: "Spoon!"
