In a Mistigris / underground artscene context, the word "Spoon" is typically used in one of two special ways:

1. In reference to the original (but long since deprecated) program used to inject [SAUCE] (Standard Architecture for Universal Comment Extensions) metadata into underground artscene computer art files. It really got cooking in its second revision, SPOON ][, but if used in a modern context can result in files not behaving the way they are intended to.

2. The name of a '90s tfile ezine cooked up by 604-based colleagues of Beatle. The first issue was released in 1993 and the second (and, to date, final) issue was released in 1998, both included in M-9808.

3. Once in a long while you might hear it invoked as the battlecry of '80s comics antihero The Tick: "Spoon!"
