Las Hermanas del Perro Magnéticos (HPM), named after a reference to minor characters (the Magnetic Dog Sisters) in [William Gibson]'s 1981 cyberpunk short story "Johnny Mnemonic", are a crew of South American [text art] practitioners based out of Argentina (resulting in a lot of their works being en español), and well integrated with their local colleagues Don Epi of Epimundo (whose The Vault BBS is their WHQ) and the annual [Flashparty] demoparty. Established in 2022, their release schedule has been intermittent, with four artpacks dropped over three years, but they are still kicking around. In addition to the expected standard text art mediums of ANSI art and ASCII art, they also include [PETSCII] screens in their artpacks. Regular members over the years have included Aleperez, Arleka, Checs, Deadguy, Mister Roboto, PETSCII Cola and Uctumi.
Notably, as part of celebrations around Terrible Toybox's 2022 release of Return to Monkey Island, the HPM crew presented an exhibition of "Monkey Island"-themed art, both digital and textile, at the Bar Del Estello in Buenos Aires, and engaged the services of Cthulu to share a video recording of him playing a set of Monkey Island tunes on [accordion] as part of its launch party.
