The Galza textmode art crew was established in 1999 as the ASCII art branch of the Russian HRG ([HellRaiser Group]) artgroup. Their first wave of regular releases lasted for six years until 2005, then radio silence followed, punctuated only by a single release in 2011, six further years later. In 2014 Otium got things moving again and five more releases have followed, some of them branching out into [PETSCII] art in C64 executables.
Inviting Cthulu out of retirement to write lits to accompany pieces in 2014's GALZA-22 is largely responsible for the Mistigris reunion and revival that followed. (Otium has a lot to answer for!)
