A chimerical word typically indicating ASCII art made using [low ASCII] characters but taking advantage of the ANSI colours used in ANSI art. Pure ASCII art, by contrast, would not only use only the low-ASCII characters, but also be [monochrome].

(Contrast with: [block ASCII], which is monochrome ASCII art made using [high ASCII] characters but not taking advantage of ANSI colour.)
