A chimerical word typically indicating ASCII art made using [low ASCII] characters but taking advantage of the ANSI colours used in ANSI art. Pure ASCII art, by contrast, would not only use only the low-ASCII characters, but also be [monochrome]. To be safe, you would want to save ANSCII with an .ANS extension, because a [viewer] program that infers filetype by extension would expect an .ASC file to not contain colour codes of any kind.)

(Contrast with: [block ASCII], which is monochrome ASCII art made using [high ASCII] characters but not taking advantage of ANSI colour.)
