This page is no longer updated! See the latest FAQWhat is the Nexus Forever Project?
Nexus Forever is a fan project designed to reverse-engineer the now-defunct WildStar Online video game. The goal is to recreate the server exactly as it existed at the time of its shutdown. Nexus Forever is an open source project, meaning anyone can contribute. No contribution is too small!
What is the current status of the project?
To learn more about the project's current status, see this page.
When will the project be finished?
There is no set finish date for the project yet. It's a large task, and it will take some time to recreate WildStar as it existed at shutdown. However, a great deal of the game has already been implemented, with more being added every day.
Is this the same as the Arctium project?
No. The Arctium WildStar sandbox is a separate, closed source project. It is not associated with Nexus Forever, and is being developed independently. However, the two projects do share resources and discoveries.
How can I stay updated on the project's development?
The best way to stay informed about the project is to join the Nexus Forever Discord channel. There, you can chat with others about the project, get help with setup, and see real-time updates from the developers.
Will we be able to add custom content to the game?
Eventually, yes. The goal is to eventually make it possible to edit the client and allow people to add their own custom content. However, this particular feature is still a long way off.
Does Nexus Forever take donations?
No. Nexus Forever is a fan project. The developers are working in their free time out of love for the game, not for monetary gain. No Nexus Forever dev will ever ask for donations.
