Objective To validate whether the release is working on production environment after it is released

What Execution of a smoketest for the release and the impacted assets of other teams (preferably automated, however some manual tests could be required)

When When the testing on ACC is complete and the release went live, a final test will be performed on production environment, here a subset (=smoketest) of selected tests are performed, preferably as much as possible automated, however some manual, visual tests are performed.

How

• When functionality is released to PRD:
  • Prepare test data (if applicable)
  • Perform smoketest of the released US (manual and/or automated)
  • Run smoketests impacted assets (manual and/or automated)
• In case of deviations, it has to be analyzed if this is blocking, if so it could be that the release is rolled back
  • Create bug or task on the board
  • Discuss or inform DEV on bug/taks found
• When testing on PRD is complete, inform everybody via the release channel
