##The overall objective of Test Automation is: The objective of Test automation is to build an automation framework with a high regression test coverage, in order to develop and deploy functionalities in a quick, controlled, predictable and qualitative way and to reduce manual test activities.
Subgoals are:
- Improve collaboration and communication between team members (DEV's and QA's) and have a more efficient test process
- Automate as low as possible in the pyramid
- Improve focus and coverage by performing risk assessment
- Improve quality by using test techniques to prepare test cases
- Have an agreed approach on all levels; not only team members, but also managers and leads should be the ambassadors of test automation
