The Data Analyst (DA) is responsible for providing dashboards, data and data analysis to support decision making. The internal stakeholders are our product department, Sales and Marketing and the development teams. The external stakeholders are our customers.
- Data Analyst in close collaboration with:
- Product managers
- Business departments, such as Sales and Marketing
- Technology stakeholders, such as head of Technology, Business Analysts or Delivery Managers
- Customers

- Data requirements
- Data analyse
1. Data requirements:
- Identify stakeholders
- Identify stakeholder needs
- Define stakeholder objectives and requirements
- Identify if data is already (partly) available
If not:
- Identify potential data sources
- Map data sources to stakeholder objectives and requirements
- Identify gaps (data required is not yet possible to extract or not yet available)
- In case of gaps: identify potential solutions
- Go/NoGo: Define and agree on scope and requirements
- Create product backlog for data engineering activities
- Communicate scope and requirements to the team
- Follow-up on realization of the data engineering
2. Data analyse:
- Design of data structure (PowerBI)
- Design of datamodel
- Create overviews (reporting, dashboards) for different type of stakeholders
- Analyse the data in order to make conclusions or to support decision making
- Deliver the overview to stakeholders
The business analysis starts at the discovery phase and ends at the ideation phase. The handover to and support of development team is during the realization phase.
