Designer Install

No terminal skills needed. No password. No internet after the download.

1. Download MographJailed-version.zip from the Releases page and double-click it to unzip.
2. Double-click Install MographJailed.command and follow the prompts.
   • If macOS says it can't be opened: open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway next to the message about the file, then double-click it again.
3. Open a new Terminal window and type mj setup. Press Enter to accept each suggested folder. It then shows the one After Effects step left: File > Scripts > Run Script File, pick the script it names, save the report into your Reports folder.
4. Type mj check "My Project".

What the installer does

• Checks every file against its checksum list (and refuses any extra file). If the download is signed, it checks the signature against the key shipped beside it.
• Copies MographJailed to ~/Documents/MographJailed (or the folder you type), tests the new copy before touching an existing one, and replaces an older install completely, with no stale files left.
• Adds one marked block to ~/.zshrc so mj works in Terminal. Your file is backed up first, and running the installer again never adds a second block.
• Runs mj setup.

Remove it

Double-click Uninstall MographJailed.command. It removes the install folder and exactly the block it added. Your projects, saved versions and project reports are not touched, and your settings stay unless you say otherwise.

For maintainers

sh scripts/make-release.sh builds the zip. Set MJ_RELEASE_KEY=/path/to/ed25519_key to sign the checksum list (verified on the Mac with stock ssh-keygen).
