This faq applys to NetherWorkshopDownloader 1 and 2.

Other workshop downloaders can download my game's mods, but this cannot. Why is that?

The reason why Steam is taking action against well-known steam downloaders like Steam Workshop Downloader is because other downloaders use their own/or multiple steam accounts to own every game and download mods using those accounts. This practise CAN be illegal and against Steams TOS, This downloader won't be doing that, so in order to use it, you must sign in with your own account; otherwise, it can only use anonymous accounts. (Access to 460+ games for anonymous accounts)

Do you think this downloader will be removed like the others?

Not likely because we download the mods using Steam's official tools (SteamCMD) and because we only use the anonymous SteamCMD account.

Can i take some code from this project?

What are anonymous accounts?

Anonymous accounts are official SteamCMD accounts that allow you to access/download mods for 460+ games without logging in. However, some games do not support anonymous accounts and will require you to log in with an account in which you own the game.
