XRP Faucets

Ripple runs [a] Testnet ... to provide a testing platform for any software products built on the XRP Ledger without using real funds.

These funds are intended for testing only. The Testnet ledger and balances will be reset approximately every 90 days, or when otherwise necessary. ...

Testnet and Devnet balances are separate. As a precaution, do not use the Testnet or Devnet credentials on the Mainnet.

Generate Testnet Credentials

Clicking the Generate Testnet Credentials button on the XRP Faucets page returns;


Address <Address (begins with 'r')>
Secret  <Address (begins with 's')>
Balance 1,000 XRP

Testnet Servers

Use the following URLs to connect to the XRP Testnet and send transactions, or connect your own rippled server to the Testnet. Websockets and Ripple API wss://s.altnet.rippletest.net:51233

Switching Toast Wallet to Testnet

  1. Click The gear icon in the bottom-right corner of any screen in Toast Wallet to bring up the settings page

The default server is shown on the last line underneath the menu (begins with 'wss')

  1. Select 'Add Gateway' to bring up the screen shown below

  1. Paste in Testnet Gateway Address

  2. Confirm the action


Reset Gateway

Toast Wallet will reset the gateway to the default (Ripple Public Mainnet Server) by selecting 'Reset Gateway' from the Settings screen and confirming the action and restarting the app or refreshing the page of the browser version

This will clear the custom gateways that Toast Wallet connects to. The default gateways will be restored next time the app starts. Would you like to clear custom gateways? This will not harm you wallet.


Importing Testnet Account(s) to Toast Wallet

  1. Select the '+' button in the Accounts Screen in Toast

  2. Select 'Add Existing Account' to bring up the screen shown below

  1. Paste in the secret provided from generating Testnet credentials

  2. Paste in the Address provided from generating Testnet credentials

  3. Input the wallet passphrase

  4. Click 'Import Account'

  5. Repeat with a second set of Testnet credentials to have two accounts in one wallet
