Direct Connection

• Each device is internet-capable using the IP protocol
• Direct communication of platform services with devices

Messaging

The push/ pull principle

• The message exchange is based on the push principle

• Every exchange of messages is initiated by a sender

• After the face is recognized by the scanner, the data is transmitted to the IoT platform, which is hosted in a public cloud

• The processed data is forwarded to the manufacturer service plattform

• The data with the information about the coffee preparation is sent to the coffee machine

Data Transport

Sporadic

• Data comes at random intervals

• Few data / messages are exchanged in each case

• A data transfer is only triggered when a face is recognized by the scanner
