Legacy Installation - NeisesMike/VehicleFramework GitHub Wiki
Vehicle Framework has a couple dependencies. Make sure these work before you try to install Vehicle Framework.
- Install QModManager
- Install SMLHelper version 2.15
When I say "install," I mean to move the mod folder into the Subnautica/BepInEx/plugins folder in your game files.
To check if SMLHelper was installed correctly, start Subnautica and check for a new options menu called "Mods." If that menu shows up, then SMLHelper is almost certainly working correctly. If it doesn't show up, Vehicle Framework will not load, and you should not reach out to me for help. Instead, reach out on the Subnautica Modding Discord Server. There are many people there who can help you better than I can.
It's important to note that SMLHelper does not support illegitimate copies of the game. If you have a cracked or stolen version of Subnautica, you cannot use Nautilus. As a result, you cannot use Vehicle Framework.
Then you can install VehicleFramework version 0.9.3.2. The Legacy version of Vehicle Framework is old, and I'm not supporting it at this time. Make sure you get the versions I've called out on this page.
To check if VF was installed correctly, check the mod options menu again. There should be a special section in there for VF. If everything prior to this step went okay, but this menu doesn't show up, you can reach out to me for help. You can submit a bug report on the VF Nexus page^ or you can contact me on the Vehicle Framework Discord Server.
If everything is okay at this point, you can proceed with installing:
Please note that these are the only vehicles supporting by Legacy VF, and no upgrade modules are supported by Legacy VF.
