Vehicles

All VF vehicles are built at the Mobile Vehicle Bay (MBV). Some vehicles will be unlocked as soon as you get an MBV. Other vehicles require you to scan their fragments in order to unlock them. As with the Cyclops, make sure you deploy the MBV in deep water so it can do its job.

Drone Station

VF has some Drone-type vehicles. These are vehicles that you cannot enter, and they must be controlled using a Drone Station. To unlock the Drone Station, you'll have to scan its fragments. The fragments can be found around the starting area, and it shouldn't be hard to find them. If you don't want to bother with all that, you should change the VF option "Fragment Experience" to automatically unlock the Drone Station. If you disable that option, the Drone Station will be unlocked with the Mobile Vehicle Bay, which is required to build any VF vehicle.

Upgrades

All VF upgrades are built at the Modification Station (Workbench). Some upgrades will be unlocked as soon as you get a modification station. Other upgrades require you to scan their fragments in order to unlock them. Most upgrades will provide a version for VF vehicles, a version for the Seamoth, and a version for the Prawn. But some upgrades are only for one or two of those vehicle types.
