What is "We Love Web"?
"We Love Web" is a series of guest lectures within the FDND program where professional designers, front-end developers, and digital creatives from the industry share their knowledge and experience. During these sessions, we get a real look into how the field works outside of school: how teams build products, what tools they use, and how they approach design and development in practice.
Each lecture focuses on different topics that are essential for becoming a strong developer or designer, such as:
- building an effective and professional portfolio
- accessibility and semantic HTML as a foundation for every project
- understanding the job market and how to apply strategically
- visual design, CSS structure, animation, and interaction
- collaboration, workflow, and how to work within a development team
What makes "We Love Web" valuable is that we don’t just learn technical skills. The speakers show how to think as a professional: how to present your work confidently, how to communicate with clients or a team, and how to grow from student to junior developer.
These lectures bridge the gap between what we learn in school and what is expected in the real world. By seeing real examples, hearing career stories, and asking questions directly to people working in the industry, we get insight into how to shape our own careers and what next steps we can take.
