When looking through all the parking datasets I came up with some questions to research.

Insights:

How many parking spots, electric, disabled
Train stations and parking spots
Looking through the data
ANWB & TomTom api data. Promosing!

How many normal, electric, and disabled parking spots?

Dataset: Specifications parking area
Thoughts: I would like to know where all parking areas are on a map and how many parking spots there are available. And from all these parking spots, how many are there with electric charging points? And maybe I can continue with mapping total disabled spots and extra-large spots.

Datavis

At which train stations are there parking spots?

Dataset: Multiple. RDW: Geodata? And NS: Location train stations? I also noticed they have parking data available?
I wasn't able yet to connect to the NS API

Thoughts: Making a geographical map for parking places near train stations and maybe inform the reader about electric charge spots and the amount of disabled spots?

Looking at the data

So I started with mapping some datasets in an excel sheet to find interesting insights. But when doing this someone came with an awesome PDF that listed all datasets and what's in them. So I printed the PDF and started marking down interesting datapoints.

Finding some more data

So when I was looking for more data I came along the website of the ANWB. I noticed that they have a lot of information about all kinds of parking areas and electric charging spots. After poking around and asking in my support group, I found out, at about the same time as Randy that the data comes from the TomTom Api. I have requested access to this API but haven't got a key yet. Fingers crossed to get access 🤞.
