Charged Artifacts - Nate105/Complementary-Series GitHub Wiki

Charged Artifacts are a new set of Artifacts made from Electrum Ingots, Charged Cores, and Ancient Adhesive. Their main theme is lightning.

Obtaining

Charged Artifacts can be crafted from Electrum Ingots, Charged Cores, and Ancient Adhesive.

Artifacts

There are 3 Artifacts which are part of this Artifact set. All of these artifacts have the Chargeability attribute except for the Charger.

Chargers

The Charger is a block which is used to restore Charged Artifacts' durability.

To set up a charger, one must place a Lightning Rod on top of the Charger. When Thunderstorms come around, any Lightning Bolts which strike the Charger's lightning rod will give it 1 level of charge. Each level of charge can be used to fully restore any Charged Artifacts' durability.

As a secondary use, destroying a Charger with any level of charge will cause it to release an explosion. Each level of charge is worth two levels of explosion power. This means a fully charged Charger will cause an explosion with a power of 6, almost two times that of a Block of TNT. Keep in mind that Chargers do not chain-explode, unlike TNTs.

If you want to save up Charge, it may be useful to know that charge can travel to adjacent Chargers below the charged Charger. That way, the topmost Charger can collect charge while the lower ones keep it.

Charged Rings

Charged Rings are items which can be used to summon an explosive Lightning Bolt in whichever direction the player looks.

Charged Rings have a 35-block radius for summoning Lightning, and can use blocks or entities as targets. The player's target will be indicated by Spark particles around it, and using the ring will call down an explosive Lightning Bolt. The explosion has a power of 2.5, and causes heavy damage to targeted entities and the surrounding area. Charged Rings have 50 durability points.

Charged Pendants

Charged Pendants are items which can be used to force a 10-minute Thunderstorm.

Upon being used, a Lightning Bolt will be summoned on the user, lightly harming them, and a 20-minute cooldown will begin for all Charged Pendants. This forced Thunderstorm can be taken advantage of to refill Chargers, get Charged Creepers, or use Riptide Tridents. Charged Pendants have 3 durability points.
