Wangwriter OS

The Wangwriter Operating System is a dedicated Word Processing system designed for ease of use and ease of transition from a typewriter. As such, much of the design is indeed very similar to typewriter operation. Unlike traditional line based editors that were common in the era, the Wangwriter software is very much so a WYSIWYG design.

#Edit Document This is the main editing/processing screen. By default, formatting marks are turned on, however they can be turned off by pressing Command followed by Replace. The monitor is a full 80 columns wide, which matches with the printing width. However, there are only 24 rows visible on screen at a time, so multiple screens can be scrolled through for a single printing page using the "Next Screen" or "Previous Screen" buttons.

Print Document

When printing a document, the following options are available.

Utilities

From the Utilities screen, you can delete, copy or rename a document, prepare an Archive Disk (format a disk), change the format, recover an Archive Disk, or duplicate a disk.
