To get started with Raspberry Pi you will need to install an Operating System for the OS. This can range from the official Raspberry Pi OS, Retro pi for retro game emulator, and many other Open Source project such as Octoprint for remote control 3D Printer or even a custom OS.
Prerequisite
- Image burner - Raspberry Pi Imager
- SD Card with Card Reader
Installing Official Raspberry Pi OS
- Download, install and launch Raspberry Pi Imager on your Windows.
- Erase SD Card.
Choose SD Card > Choose OS > Erase > Write
- Burn OS.
Choose SD Card > Choose OS > Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit) > Write
Installing Custom OS
- Download, install and launch Raspberry Pi Imager on your Windows.
- Erase SD Card.
Choose SD Card > Choose OS > Erase > Write
- Burn OS.
Choose SD Card > Choose OS > Use Custom > Write
