protege gui displaying the view's controls on the gui panel's frame. The view's controls in a protege panel are shown circled in red. Once added to the gui, the views can be moved around or closed; hovering over the buttons indicates the action that can be performed.

Although these buttons are present in the nci edit tab, their functionality has not been enabled. If you happen to click on one of these buttons, the nci edit tab will respond, but not as expected. You will need to reset the view to the default state (from the Window -> Reset selected tab... menu item) and then restart Protege.
