Level 1 processing

  • camera non-linearity correction
  • dark current subtracted
  • gain correction applied
  • apply polarization demodulation matrix to construct Stokes I, Q, and U
  • apply distortion correction
  • align each camera to center, rotate to solar north, and combine cameras
  • coordinate transformation from cartesian to tangential polarization to separate sky polarization from corona

Level 2 processing

  • remove sky polarization
    • use method specified in config file, either "subtraction" (default) or "sine2theta"
  • correct for sky transmission
