SDRLogger+ Combo link

SDRLogger+ is the companion logging program โ€” a modern contest/DX logger by the same developer. Over an ordinary TCI connection it already drives Lyra (including HL2 / BrickSDR2 / Brick3SDR SUB / RX2 and SPLIT VFO B) and shows spots, but turning on Combo upgrades that one-way link into a two-way collaboration that runs over the same TCI socket โ€” no bridge app, no second connection, no extra port. The CW Console, the CW Decoder and the logger's Log-Entry row start working as one.

Lyra advertises channel_count:2. There is no extra Settings โ†’ Network toggle for RX2 โ€” use the Tuning SUB button or TCI rx_enable:1. Mapping matches deskHPSDR / Thetis:

Client command What Lyra does
vfo:0,0 / dds:0 RX1 / VFO A
vfo:0,1 SPLIT VFO B (TX offset) โ€” does not turn SUB on
vfo:1,0 / dds:1 RX2 / SUB frequency
rx_enable:1 Enable / disable SUB
rx_channel_sensors 0,0 RX1 S-meter (dBm) โ€” Combo RST uses this
rx_channel_sensors 1,0 RX2 S-meter (dBm); ~โˆ’140 dBm floor if SUB is off

Setting an RX2 frequency does not auto-enable SUB. Combo RST / SNR stay on RX1 until SDRLogger+ is known to consume a second-channel report (that Combo slice is held).

Turn it on

  1. Settings โ†’ Network โ†’ tick "SDRLogger+ Combo (share CW Console contact)". It's off by default, per-machine, and remembered.
  2. Make sure TCI server running is on (Combo rides the TCI link), and that SDRLogger+ is connected to Lyra as a TCI client โ€” point its radio / TCI connection at Lyra's IP and port (the same 40001 default unless you changed it).
  3. When the two are linked, SDRLogger+ shows a โ— Lyra Combo badge in its Log-Entry header โ€” that badge is your confirmation the link is live.

What Combo does โ€” four things, automatically

๐Ÿ“‡ Call โ†’ logger Put a call in Lyra's CW Console His call โ€” type it, or grab it from the CW decoder โ€” and it lands in SDRLogger+'s log entry and fires its callbook (QRZ / HamQTH) lookup. You copy the call once, in Lyra.
๐Ÿ‘ค Name โ†’ back to {NAME} After the lookup resolves, SDRLogger+ sends the operator's first name back to Lyra, filling the {NAME} token. A reply macro like {CALL} DE {MYCALL} GE {NAME} greets them by name with no typing.
๐Ÿ“ถ Received signal โ†’ RST SDRLogger+ can auto-fill the S digit of RST-Received from Lyra's RX1 calibrated S-meter (TCI 0,0) โ€” the number it logs is exactly what your main meter shows, even if you are listening on SUB. A signal-to-noise figure rides alongside (RX1 only) so it fills only on a real signal, not band noise. Turn on S-auto next to the RST-Rcvd field. Works on SSB / CW / digital. SUB / RX2 is not used for Combo RST.
โœ… One-click log with {LOG} Add the {LOG} action token to a CW macro โ€” e.g. TU 73 {MYCALL} ee {LOG} โ€” and sending it sends the sign-off and logs the QSO in SDRLogger+ (call, RST, mode and frequency all stamped from the shared state). A macro that is only {LOG} is a log-only button that keys nothing.

Combo is a Lyra โ†” SDRLogger+ conversation โ€” a plain third-party TCI logger simply ignores the extra messages, so leaving it on does no harm. Nothing here changes the normal TCI control / spots behaviour; it only adds the contact-sharing, name-back, signal-report and one-click-log conveniences on top.
