Struggling - MysticSummoner/PCraft-Revorn-Wiki GitHub Wiki

Overview

After being eaten, the player will be frequently given a struggle they must make. Using their Struggle Direction keybinds, they must press the keys matching the directions shown to make a successful struggle. Doing so will cause them to struggle and sway the stomach of their predator, progressing their struggle progress. Not pressing all of the needed keys or pressing more than is needed will cause a struggle fail, giving no progress and causing their predator to contest their struggle. If they struggle enough to match their predator's number of struggles needed to escape, they will successfully escape.

Number of Struggles

Most struggle events will be a single direction, but they can also be dual-directional. The chance for a dual directions struggle to be given depends on the pred's natural Struggle Difficulty stat, portrayed as a percentage.

Timing Window

For most preds, the player has 3 seconds to press the required inputs, though the Piglin Royal has only a 2 second window. There is a 3 tick window after pressing one key where the player can press another key, acting as delay forgiveness. Struggles will typically be given every 5-8 seconds, though this timing is decreased for the Piglin Royal.

Escape

The player will never know how close they are to escaping until they reach the struggle limit and fully escape. Upon escaping, they will gain Regurgitation Armor, Regurgitation Stench, and potentially Softened (depending on how digested they were). Meanwhile, their former predator will gain Regurgitation Sickness.

Prey can also be freed if the predator is slain. Normal mobs will never be able to escape on their own, so if a player wants the eaten mob back, they will have to kill the predator. This also means that if a pet manages to kill a predator that ate its owner, its owner would be freed. Both of these scenarios can be a bit tricky though as predators gain a natural 22% damage reduction while sporting a full gut.
