3.2.0 | Halloween Frights

NOTICE

⚠️ You may experience crashes if using this update in an old world where Zombies were currently loaded.

Zombie Changes

  • Zombies now have a male variant as well as completely refreshed animations
    • Note: Zombies are missing their struggle anims because of this, sorry!
  • Zombies now have 3 main variants and 5 sub-variants
  • Zombies have a special Halloween variant as well that has a 15% chance to spawn during October
  • Zombies will now begin to sprint while below 50% health or if their target is below 50% health
  • Red eyed zombie sub-variants now have a 15% chance to spawn below y=0
    • Red eyed zombies will always sprint
    • These sub-variants can spawn with a 5% chance on the surface during the month of October

Vinemaiden Changes

  • Added a new Pumpkin Vinemaiden variant that spawns with a 5% chance only in October
  • Fixed a bug where only poppy vinemaidens would spawn during October
  • Wither Rose Vinemaidens no longer spawn naturally in October

Gilded Basaltmite Changes

  • Gilded Basaltmites now have a 35% chance to spawn as a special Blood Gold variant during October

Piglin Royal Changes

  • Will now accept Rabbit Wizards for prey bartering

New Items

  • Metabolism Booster
    • Burns off all weight gain from the target and generates xp for the player depending on the number of preys the predator had digested
    • Obtained by brewing magma cream into a honey bottle
  • Potent Glowberry Bottle
    • Goes in the curios belt slot, breaking at 50% digestion in a pred to inflict it with Glowberry High for 2 min
    • Crafted with a Fermented Glowberry Juice, Sugar, Red/Brown mushroom, and a Sugar Glass Bottle

New Mechanics

  • Shields can now block successful swallows, but any swallow rolls made against a shield ignore swallow threshold
  • If a swallow attempt is blocked by a shield, all shield type items in the player's inventory will be disabled for 10 seconds and the player will be inflicted with Vulnerable for 10 seconds.
  • Vulnerable: +10% Swallow Chance against you, preds ignore Swallow Threshold when rolling for swallow attempts.

New Config Options

  • New 'Compatability' section of the General Config
    • preyBlacklist - option to blacklist certain mobs from being edible
      • May expand to specific configs in the future
    • petsDie - makes it so tamed mobs die rather be despawned (for mods that allow respawning after death and such)
    • deathWhitelist - an extra list for non-tameable entities that should be killed instead of despawning

General Changes

  • Removed flat damage reduction from WG and Piglin Armor and replaced it with a new calculation
    • If the damage is less than 2, it will be reduced by a further 65% after all other damage reductions
    • If the damage is at least 2, it is reduced by: (total amount)^(3/7) (multiplier)
      • Multiplier base is 0.4
      • Multiplier increases by 0.2 per WG stage
      • Multiplier increases by 0.1 per piglin armor tier
      • This is applied before % damage increases and decreases
  • Digestion damage now has the following properties to prevent issues
    • Ignores potion effects and enchantments
    • Bypasses invulnerabilities (creative and such)
    • Ignores invincibility frames
  • Pred Guidebooks can now be placed in Chiseled Bookshelves
  • Full JEI support for potions and some other item elements

Item Changes

  • Peculiar Elixir
    • Now cycles through a pred's subvariants if they have any (zombie only for now)

Bugfixes

  • Fixed an issue where the swallowing sound effect would play at max volume regardless of distance
