Battery Management System - MyLab-odyssey/ED_BMSdiag GitHub Wiki

The Battery Management System is monitoring the health of the battery pack. It measures the voltages and uses shunt resistors for passive balancing of the individual cells.

The system consists of a central Battery Control Unit (BCU), which will also control the main contactor, with precharge- and interlock-circuit. For thermal management it will measure the coolant temperature and evaluate the cell temps as well. The BCU also monitors the current flow of the battery while driving or charging.

Every module (รก 31 cells) has it's own supervisory circuit (CSE = Cell Supervisory Electronics), reading the temperatures and controlling the shunt resistors. BCU and CSE are connected by a CAN-Bus.
