Body Panel - Mustard2/MustardUI GitHub Wiki
In the Body properties, you can find all options related to the main character mesh and its shaders. The available tools and settings include:
-
Smooth Correction (if available)
When enabled, this option can significantly reduce performance. It smooths the mesh when it is deformed by the armature or by modifiers placed before the Smooth Correction modifier in the modifier stack.
It is recommended to keep this option disabled during production and enable it only when final collision details are required (for example, skin interaction with outfits) or for rendering.
Note: It is extremely important to disable Smooth Correction before sculpting. -
Normals Auto Smooth (if available)
When enabled, this option may reduce performance. Starting from Blender 3.1, enabling this option also disables GPU subdivision for the body.
It is recommended to keep this option disabled during production and enable it only before rendering, if needed. -
Eevee Optimized Normals
Available only in Material Preview and Rendered viewport modes when using Eevee. When enabled, this option can improve viewport performance.
If disabled, the material uses Blender’s standard Normal nodes. When enabled, a custom Normal node is used to optimize Eevee viewport rendering.
It is recommended to enable this option while animating if you need to use Material Preview or Rendered viewport modes, and disable it before final rendering.
Note: When this option is disabled, the normal nodes of outfits are also switched to the custom node. -
Subdivision Surface
When enabled, this option significantly reduces performance. It smooths the mesh, with higher subdivision levels resulting in smoother geometry but a greater performance impact.
It is recommended to enable subdivision only when checking collision details (for example, skin interaction with outfits) or for final rendering. -
Additional Properties
The remaining sections may contain additional model-specific properties, depending on how the model has been configured by its creator.
Note
Some properties may be hidden unless Advanced Options are enabled (see the Settings section of the documentation). For example, shader options for most Mustard models are not available when Advanced Options are disabled.
