How to verify my game files with Steam - Musta1337/TeknoMW3 GitHub Wiki

⚠️ Notice
- If you moved the game to another location and then installed TeknoMW3, you should move it back to Steam so it can check and repair the necessary things.
  * For example, moving from "C:\Games\CoD MW 3" to "C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3".

  1. Open Steam and go to the LIBRARY tab.
  2. Click on the magnifier (🔍 Search by Name) and write Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Dedicated Server.
    • If you bought the game, you can use your Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Multiplayer.
      • If it doesn't appear, try pressing the Windows + R keys and type steam://install/42750
  3. You will see that you get TOOLS -> Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Dedicated Server. Right click and then click on Properties....
  4. Go to the LANGUAGE tab, choose the language in which you have the base game and then click on CLOSE.
    • Maybe not all languages can be downloaded.
  5. Repeat the Step 3 again. :P
  6. Go to the LOCAL FILES tab, and then click on VERIFY INTEGRITY OF TOOL FILES....
  7. Wait until the process is over.
    • If all files are ok, you will receive a message saying All files successfully validated..
    • If any file is bad, you will receive a message saying something like 11 files failed to validate and will be reacquired. And you will see the status of the download in DOWNLOADING (at the bottom of all).
  8. Now you have a clean copy of the game, and you should read this: How to install TeknoMW3 Client
    • If you still have problems, maybe you should repeat everything again BUT first do this: Clear download cache
