EZ Gui 2.8 - Mrbt0907/Weather2-Remastered GitHub Wiki
The EZ Config (also known as EZ Config) is a configuration gui designed for players who want a quicker and easier way to modify their settings for Weather2. To access the EZ Gui, enter any world of your choice, and pause the game. On the pause menu above "Back To Game", you can find a button labeled "Weather2 EZ Config". Press that button to enter the EZ Gui.
Interface
The EZ Gui at first glance will look like the image below.
The top of the screen is the title of the current page "Weather2 EZ Settings - Graphics". Below the title is four buttons labeled "Graphics", "System", "Storms", and "Dimensions". These are known as categories, and pressing any of the buttons will switch the page to that category.
In the middle of the page is the list of settings. You can click any of the buttons to switch the setting. Each setting in the EZ Gui will change multiple variables in the advanced gui for you to get the results you may ask for. There may be multiple pages of settings to look for; indicated by the "1/2" at the bottom of the page. To move to the next page of settings, click on "Next". To back up one page, click on "Last".
Also at the bottom is the "Advanced Menu" button. On older versions of Weather2 Remastered, this button may be obscured. To fix this, leave the gui -> pause the game again -> click "Options..." -> click "Video Settings..." -> and change "GUI Scale" down one scale. If it's on auto, switch it to large.
Clicking on the advanced menu button will take you to the advanced gui. From there, you can fine tune each individual setting to your liking.
Right of advanced menu is the final button labeled "Save & Exit". Clicking this will save your changes and exit the gui, putting you back in the game.
Now, if you are on a multiplayer server, you will notice a few things: The advanced menu button may be gone, and all settings beyond the Graphics category is gone. This is because you need to be an admin to enter the advanced gui and categories beyond Graphics. Without op, you can only edit your client settings under Graphics. For those who have admin but these options are still gone, re-entering the gui or switching categories should reveal the features again.
Any time you change categories, switch to the advanced gui, or click "Save & Exit", the gui will save your settings. You do not need to click the save button to save your settings. HOWEVER, your settings can be canceled if you press escape. Keep that in mind.

- Low - Storm particles will slowly spawn
- Medium (Default) - Storm particles will spawn at a normal rate
- High - Storm particles will spawn frequently
- Very High - Storm particles will spawn rapidly
- Yes - Storm particles will spawn every tick
Quality Of Precipitation
Changes how much rain will spawn when under a raining storm. This also changes whether distant downfall could be seen Valid Options:
- None - No rain particles will spawn
- Very Low - Vanilla rain particles will spawn
- Low (Default) - Weather2 rain particles will spawn at a low rate
- Medium - Weather2 rain particles will spawn at the normal rate, and distant downfall can be seen
- High - Weather2 rain and distant downfall particles will spawn at an increased rate
- Very High - Weather2 rain and distant downfall particles will spawn at a high rate
- Ultra - Weather2 rain and distant downfall will blind the player with excessive particle spam
Quality Of Effects
Changes how many ambient particles will spawn in the environment around you. Setting this to Low or greater will allow the screen to shake during tornadic activity and straight line winds. Valid Options:
- None - No ambient particles will spawn
- Very Low - Ambient particles will rarely spawn
- Low (Default) - Ambient particles will slowly spawn
- Medium - Ambient particles will spawn at a normal rate
- High - Ambient particles will spawn frequently
- Very High - Ambient particles will spawn rapidly
- Ultra - Ambient particles will fill the air
Use Enhanced Fujita Scale
Changes whether tornados on radar will use the Enhanced Fujita Scale (EF) or not. The Fujita Scale in Weather2 measures how big the funnel is, and the Enhanced Fujita Scale measures how fast the wind speeds are in a tornado. Use Enhanced Fujita Scale for the original Weather2 experience. Valid Options:
- Off (Default) - Switches all radars to use the F scale
- On - Switches all radars to use the EF scale
Shader Compatability Mode
Ignoring the typo, this changes three options in the config to allow for some shaders to work much better than before. Options labeled with "(-)" do not work very well as there isn't much that can be done to get the particles to look good. Options not labeled with it work perfectly fine with the mode on. Valid Options:
- Off (Default) - Original settings for rendering is set
- Vanilla - Fixes storm particles rendering behind water
- BSL/COMP - BSL and Complementary Shaders compatibility mode
- Continuum (-) - Continuum compatibility mode
- KUDA (-) - KUDA Shaders compatibility mode
- SEUS - SEUS compatibility mode
- SEUS Renew (-) - SEUS Renewed compatibility mode
- SEUS Ultra - SEUS Ultra compatibility mode
- Sildurs ED - Sildurs Enhanced Default compatibility mode
- Sushi S (-) - Sushi Shader compatibility mode
- SVS Lite (-) - SVS Lite compatibility mode
- VPlus - Vanilla Plus compatibility mode
Enable Foliage Shaders
Changes whether plants and vegetation move in the wind. This setting will reload your resources, and will freeze your game. Valid Options:
- Off (Default) - Disables the foliage rendering system
- On - Enables the foliage rendering system
Extended Render Distance
When enabled, pushes the skybox back to allow for storms to render much farther than your current render distance. Values higher than low will have a big performance impact as the particle limit is removed. This does work with mods that add LODs to terrain like Far Planes mod. Does not work with optifine installed. Valid Options:
- Off (Default) - Disables the extended rendering system
- Lowest - Particles will render 128 blocks away
- Very Low - Particles will render 256 blocks away
- Low - Particles will render 370 blocks away
- Medium - Particles will render 512 blocks away
- High - Particles will render 750 blocks away
- Very High - Particles will render 1028 blocks away
- Ultra - Particles will render 2300 blocks away

Settings - Dimensions
As of 2.8.5.8 and below, this category is bugged and will not work as intended. This category contains server side settings related to dimension rules for Weather2. This category is only available in single player and ops in multiplayer servers.
For every dimension in this category, two buttons will appear along side the name of the dimension to the right. The buttons being "Weather On/Off" and "Effects On/Off". If Weather is enabled, storms can spawn in that dimension and the wind system will be enabled for that dimension. If Effects is enabled, particle effects like rain, leaves, waterfalls, etc. can render in that dimension.
In the name of the dimension, the dimension id will display behind the ":>" symbol. Default values are as follows:
- 0, or Overworld - Weather On, Effects On
- -1, or The Nether - Weather Off, Effects Off
- 1, or The End - Weather Off, Effects Off
