Before you go for the Stargate, you should have reliable power generation ready at your base.

Getting started with AUNIS (1.8 and above)

So for Survival worlds I really recommend you getting some Nether portal blocking mod (this for example) for a better experience.

• Build Orlin's gate,
• Go to the Nether with it,
• Gather enough Quartz and Naquadah,
• Go back to Overworld using the Earth's address.

BEWARE Ogre: Orlin's gate is only working for you to travel in and out. Two times. No more.

Getting started with AUNIS (pre-1.8)

First, You'll need to get those diamonds. And go to Nether. And grab a shit-ton of Naquadah and Quartz.

Naquadah Ore

Each Naquadah Ore drops 5 - 8 Naquadah Shards(without fortune) With fortune add 0-2 per each level. The Stargate require about 3 stacks of those. Plus around the same amount of iron. Plus 2 stacks Nether Quarts. Pretty expensive, eh?

Next, you need to process it into Naquadah Alloys and Crystals. Use JEI for those.
