You can also use a Player Head instead of the Skeleton Skull. I recommend the site minecraft-heads.com. Search for the head you want in the "Custom heads" category. Once found, click on it and go to the bottom of the page to copy "Value:"

Copy the value, go back to minecraft in your book and paste this value. Hold down the Ctrl key and press V.

Click on "Done" made the craft with this book and you will have the head.
