Chameleon Molt is an insulation item and crafting ingredient.

Chameleon molt is dropped by a chameleon when it sheds. Chameleons typically shed about once per day, producing 1-3 chameleon molt. It is also dropped when the mob is killed.

Chameleon molt grants 2 adaptive insulation ( ) when applied to armor.

Adaptive insulation is a special kind of insulation that adapts to the player's environment, gradually morphing into either hot or cold insulation as needed. This change is visually indicated by the color of the insulation icon when applied to armor.
