Tufted deer are rare spawns in temperate alpine biomes. They always spawn in groups of 1-2 animals. Male deer are uncommon, and represent only 25% of wild spawns. Male deer can be identified by their small antlers and tusks, while females have neither.
The tufted deer is a medium speed, timid animal.
Tufted deer can be tamed with herbivore kibble.
Tufted deer have 8 hearts (16 points) of health, can deal 1 heart of damage, and drop 2 small meat, and 1 bone upon death.
Tufted deer are medium animals with moderate food needs. They eat a ruminant diet.
Tufted deer can use the scented ball, hanging browse, salt lick, and apple ice treat enrichment items.
Tufted deer are a medium fertility species, and can be bred with sweet berries. As medium-sized animals they have a gestation time of 56,000 ticks, and give birth to 1 fawn that will take 4 2/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Tufted deer have 5 natural variants: pi dan, hotpot, baozi, dim sum, and char siu. These are in-game color variants, not real subspecies.
