Tree monitors are rare spawns in wet rainforest biomes. They always spawn in groups of 1-2 animals. Male and females are equally likely to spawn, and are not sexually dimorphic.

The tree monitor is a medium speed, neutral animal.

Tree monitors can be tamed with insectivore kibble.

Tree monitors have 4 hearts (8 points) of health, can deal 1 hearts of damage, and drop 1 small meat, and 1 bone upon death.

Tree monitors are small animals with moderate food needs. They eat an insectivore diet.

Tree monitors can use the heat lamp, heat rock, and scented ball enrichment items.

Tree monitors are a medium fertility species, and can be bred with termites. As small-sized animals they have a gestation time of 40,000 ticks, and give birth to 1-2 babies that will take 3 1/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

(note: exhibit building sections contain a mix of gameplay information and building advice. Not all recommendations are necessary to keep animals happy, fed, and watered, but can help players build a realistic enclosure.)

Tree monitors have 4 natural variants: emerald tree monitor, blue tree monitor, yellow tree monitor, and black tree monitor. These are in-game color variants, but are also real subspecies. (In-game species implementation TBD!)
