Spawning and taming

Skunks are uncommon spawns in dry grassland and temperate forest biomes. They always spawn in groups of 1-2 animals. Male and females are equally likely to spawn, and are not sexually dimorphic.

The skunk is a medium speed, timid animal; they are wary of the player and will flee from them on sight until cornered or captured.

Skunks can be tamed with omnivore kibble.

Care

Skunks have 5 hearts (10 points) of health, can deal 1 hearts of damage, and drop 1 small meat upon death.

Skunks are small animals with moderate food needs. They eat a scavenger diet.

Skunks can use the scented ball, scratching post, puzzle feeder, and snow sprinkler enrichment items.

Skunks are a high fertility species, and can be bred with an earthworm. As small-sized animals they have a gestation time of 40,000 ticks, and give birth to 2-3 babies that will take 3 1/3 minecraft days to reach adulthood.

Exhibit building

(note: exhibit building sections contain a mix of gameplay information and building advice. Not all recommendations are necessary to keep animals happy, fed, and watered, but can help players build a realistic enclosure.)

Variants

Two species of skunk are represented: striped skunk and hooded skunk.
